Hi all,
I am writing to put forward an idea, an online library thread whereby books and other resources useful to the stalker can be found, for free.
Whilst I don't claim to have any rare, long lost books on file, I have been able to find quite a few useful books online, which are accessible for free (archive.org is a great resource, but may require you to join to 'borrow' some books).
I would propose that everyone who has found a useful book to contribute the the link, title and author listed in their post, a brief description might be helpful too.
My most recent obsessions have been the American gun writers, Jack O'Connor (the dean of outdoor writers who bought the .270 Winchester to fame) and Col. Townsend Whelen ('Mr. Rifleman' simply a legend! Look up the Whelen rifle challenge, 6 shots in 10 seconds on a man sized target, with a 30-06 in offhand prone, he could achieve this on command!).
Here are some of their books:
Jack O'Connor- The Rifle Book and The Complete Book of Rifles and Shotguns with a 7 lesson course on shooting (requires archive.org signup to borrow, but free)
https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator:"O'Connor,+Jack,+1902-"
Col. Townsend Whelen- The American Rifle, Sugguestions to Military Riflemen, On Your Own in the Wilderness and Cleaning a Firearm.
https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator:"Whelen,+Townsend,+1877-1961"
Why Not Load Your Own? (free PDF) -http://www.nzha.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/WhelenWhyNotLoad.pdf
Hope someone finds these useful, will contribute more if so.
Cheers!
