Im going to get mine upgraded Tikka t3 Varmint with GRS Stock and TET bottom metal
What would be your dream upgrades for your T3?

My Varmint Stainless .243Win used to live in a Roedale RCS II stock:

Now it's full-length bedded into a Boyds laminate thumbhole stock. The bottom metal is also bedded and allows use of AICS mags:

Mines a tikka T3 super varmint in .308. Had an anodised tactical bolt knob, a barley 6 fluted bolt, a stainless resolution 0MOA rail, stainless bolt shroud, and a pepperpot muzzle brake.

Would love a nice metal pistol grip cap where the T3 symbol is (like on the high end Blasers) and maybe a GRS stock eventually!

I recognise the place in the top two pics.
You at Bodmin this weekend Ben ?

The trigger would be the last thing on my mind to change on a T3, it is very good. Saying that, many Germans & Austrians replace that "heavy" T3 trigger with an Andy Atzl unit. Some really believe a trigger needs to go down to one or two ounces for their 80yd deer.

Thinking of trying the aics mags in my tikka, can you advise if you've experienced any feed issues or magazine release issues with yours, and would they fit into a standard sporter stock, I appreciate it may need inletting?

thanks Mick

When bedding the new bottom metal it's important to get the inletting and positioning right to avoid having to muck around with the feed lips etc of the mags. This is particularly true if you want to use the same mags in different guns.

I've had no problems with feed and mag release. My only complaint is that the mags can "rattle" with a metallic noise when walking. I've fixed some plastic strips to the sides of the mags and this has solved that problem.

Can't comment on fitting to a standard sporter stock- not tried.
