The Wifes Logic !!

Had a conversation with the wife earlier about shooting and it went something like this :

Wife:
You spend money on your shooting don't you?

Me:
Yes

Wife:
How many times a week do you go?

Me:
Usually about 3

Wife:
How much does it cost in diesel and ammo each time?

Me: Difficult to say depends where I go but for sake of argument say £15 each time?

(This is where it gets scary !)

Wife:
And how long have you been going out 3 times a week?

Me:
About 15 years, I suppose

Wife:
So at £15 a time 3 times a week which puts your spending in one year, approximately £2500…correct?

Me:
I suppose that would be about right.

Wife:
If in 1 year you spend £2500, not accounting for inflation, the past
20 years puts your spending at approx £50,000, correct?

Me:
Correct

Wife:
Do you know that if you didn't go shooting so much , that money could have been put in a savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?

Me:
Do you go shooting?

Wife:
No

Me:
Where's your Ferrari?

Very Good Dave,

i find it hard to even start on about shooting as here in doors has my ballocks in a bag somewhere.

bob.

ps: a ferrari is not that good cross country either ?

I take it your mrs dont go shopping 3 times a week then, how many pairs of shoes and hand bags do you need, mrs said said the dreaded earlier, does this make me look fat, said no bab its the fat that makes you you fat :D,went in one ear and out the other just the same as you dave

That's excellent !!!!! Good come back. What was her reply? Give up at that point by any chance lol

If you take into consideration the carcase money I probaly cover my fuel and ammo so my out goings wouldnt be alot, for you lot out doing reds and sika must get a good pay out and make a profit, sorry I forgot nobody shoots deer for the money :stir:

That just goes to prove exactly that women have no logic, I mean, the ground clearance on a Ferrari is awful and you'd struggle to get even a muntjac in the boot!
They are also noisy an uneconomical on fuel, so go and explain to her that her plan is flawed and would have left you financially worse off than you are now!
She should remain in her comfort zone with embroidery and kittens!
