The Zulus in the sun ....

Does the Vulpine increase the base mag like a pard 007 does? Cheers
It does slightly, the figure of 1.2x sticks in my head but you'd have to ask ludicrous lumens for a correct figure.
Your cross hair is slightly thicker but doesn't affect your shooting in any way.
Put it this way, I have had my vulpine for about 3 years, I had a pard before that which I kept for 1 week! I wouldn't be without it.

Not sure what the blur is - I didn’t really see it but at 200 yards you would have been on a highish zoom so maybe pixelation rather than blurring?
I am sure you know all this so this might be granny sucking eggs but just in case….. in the main menu there is a natural colour or boost choice, on really bright days the boost selection can be a bit colour rich but I still find it very sharp - what is your’s set at? Maybe try changing it on sunny days (though I don’t).

Also in normal shooting mode, a quick press of the rhs button takes you into brightness settings where each quick press gives 5 or 6 brightness levels - I find the lower ones give poor clarity especially on dull days so mine is pretty much permanently set on the top one (5 or 6).
I too have the “toob” extension fitted though to be honest that is more for aesthetics than any advantage, I also have the small hole one but have never needed to use it - ever!
Hope this helps.

It is on enhanced colour and I to am adjusting brightness.
I'll look into contrast later but I don't recall seeing that option ???

Thanks everyone.

Just heading out to dig holes in someone else's manicured lawns (aka golf) but will try the Zulus on different settings later - after my knap…

I have the same problem my target is in the only place I can have it and the sun is in front most of the day this time of year so I really struggled last time checking zero

The Zulus does not like white - especially on sunny days. The buff coloured air rifle targets or NRA pistol targets work well though….

Right then - in an endeavour to forget how badly I played this a.m……
Two Zulus videos made just now - not bright full sunshine but certainly what I would call bright and looking across to the golf club access road - too far for the LRF but well over 1,000 yards - the first video is set on the main menu as “natural”

and the second as “enhanced colour”

the differences are pretty self evident even as I scrolled through the base 5x right up to 20x. Of course pixellation kicked in on both but picture definition at that range was fine.
What I did discover though is that the brightness adjustments as seen through the viewfinder are not repeated on the videos so I assume lighting level is pre-set for videos? On each I scrolled through all six brightness settings - clearly visible on the viewfinder but a no-show on both videos where no change was seen.
Happy to repeat this if the sun ever fully reappears though in NI not likely…

Thanks FB. On face value id say yours is better than mine!

I've got mine on enhanced colour now but it's not really changed anything. I've got sunlight here and I've been viewing hares around 300 yds. It's a blurred experience.

It could be my right eye actually. It is very dim compared to the other one!

I couldn't find a contrast adjustment.

It is what it is but I often wish I could go back to glass.
It's like some kind of hidden barrier has been crossed with no way back!
