Have had my theoben for many years and never had a problem with it.

I wouldn’t say it’s a problem but I’m sure there’s quieter ones about nowadays

I part exed my HW80 for my Rapid mk1 12 ft lbs, several years ago I had it up rated to FAC by Ben' of THEOBEN fame. It's accuracy is brilliant, just as it was on low power.

I agree with you. Mines fantastic and couldn’t see my self owning a different air rifle.

Owned a few as a kid .Back then they were the dogs dangleys .Just recently bought an fac version off here .Few niggles but it’s been out hunting few times and filled the pot .
Ive put an aftermarket mag on it as factory was always frustratingly fiddly to load and too few shots .
Bottle clamp for a sling ,good to go .Just that really bad gammo trigger now to replace .
Iconic gun though .

Mine was running at 29 foot pounds, & took rabbits better than the .22 rimfire.

I think it was 2003 when I had my mk 2 FAC built, running at 40 ftlb lovely gun , still have it, plus I have a mint mk 1 I use for rats
great little guns.

Can't recommend kevG enough, took my Rapid Mk1 down to him a few weeks ago, he's just superb at what he does and is a great guy. Went with intention of a basic service for my piece of mind before selling it, ended up getting it regulated and the 'works' in terms of upgrades, his skill in his workshop is just staggering to behold! My Rapid is going nowhere now!

I have 2 FAC mk2's. I use the little one weekly but the longer Theoben factory tuned model is sitting in the cabinet unused. They're fantastic rifles, so easy to work on and plenty of parts & knowledge available too.

The rapids romantics will say they are the best since slice bread , but heavy , harsh , low shot count . Lucky I’m not a romantic
