You can always tell the bulls shape and bulk before the binos are up.
Early as usual especially with 40C forecast and its as dry as a witches tit and the gum leaves are cornflakes necessitating pushing one's toes in/under them so as to place a foot. Nonetheless I closed a little on this hind that is browsing mistletoe leaves on a fallen eucy limb.
She got a bit suss and headed for the bush proper with the little knobby following. Scouting further on I completely missed this stag walking down a dry spur. Noting the wallow mud on him which imo is early for this time of year. He`s a **** stag antler wise but has the bulk as the male of the species.
