Thermal - carrying / storage ?

How are people carrying and storing their thermals ?
Hand-held / neck lanyard / dedicated pouch ?

In my hand, it is constantly in use.

If the binos come oot then it goes in the bino pouch briefly.

If I am shooting then into my pocket or just drop it onto something soft.

No need for yet another pooch

The new Harkila bino harness is a good option. It has elasticated pouches each side. My Hik Falcon FQ35 slips nicely in one of these. Saves it hanging from your neck with a strap and easily slips in and out when I need it.

KUIU bino harness has 2 straps to attach to binos but I have one on binos & one on thermal. Thermal then tucks in behind the harness nicely when not in use and if using binoculars for extended periods it can dangle freely or be stuck into the bino pouch.

Have to admit I dont often shoot prone these days but I've never noticed the harness when I have.

I don't often shoot prone either but tend to take the binos out when i do .

Likewise - 99% of shots are now off sticks. I cannot remember when I last took a stalking shot prone but when I used to, I was grateful that the binos were safely tucked away in their pack and not being dragged through the mud. I might sit to take a bipod shot downhill occasionally but it doesn't get in the way

Most of my shooting is prone and I find the bino harness very useful as you can drag it forward and use it as a butt rest for the rifle.

I use an Atlas Guide Creations accessory pouch for my Lynx. Works really well paired with the bino pouch
