It sounds like the best option for you is the the Helion XQ38F given your requirements.

I’ve a lot of experience with Helion XQ38F. Finding targets is very easy except in drizzle when everything greys out. Identification takes practice. But is reliable once it moves. Rabbits hop, badgers do their thing, deer get up, stretch their necks, foxes move etc. Have often mistaken two rabbits for something bigger. Once saw a bagder which turned out to be the haunch of a fallow buck in a recess in the ground! Antlers only show up when in velvet.
The multicoloured option (rainbow) gives a good picture but tends to ruin night vision even in low brightness, so we use hot white. Adjusting settings with a mate using Streamvision app works well.

Overall would not be without it as a spotter. But would not use a thermal as a scope preferring NV or lamp for shooting.

Personally i find the lowest mag setting on some of the higher spec models too high
I much prefer a sporter that starts with a mag of 2x

4x or high 3s makes the perception of range more challenging and allows for more errors in identifying heat source

Especially when you combine the prospect of not realising the range and also thinking the heat source is larger than your expect

Too many hares look like deer

The xq28 and xm30 key start lower down the mag range

Have you seen the new Axiom Key XM22 - only £800ish but with a base magnification of x2. It has a fixed focus though and I worry that could be an issue.
