What’s your budget?
I'm using the pulsar xm50 at the moment but i still favor my longbow I've still not found anything I like better ! but I'm forcing myself to use the thermal scope it does the job but if I had to sell one it would be the thermalWhat model pulsar do you have
Around €4500 Jesus it's a lot of money when you see it wrote downWhat’s your budget?
Exactly I've had them pop out of ditches less than 50 yards away and by the time I find them in the NV they could be gone to 120 or 130 and have most likely figured out something is up and don't stop I thought the thermal might make finding them between say 40 yards and a 100 easierFoxes can be a pain to find at night. I spot with the accolade thermal binoculars, the time it takes to put them down and get on the fox whens its running in full pelt. I can be 100yards from where you last thought you saw it.
Just don’t think about what you need to earn before tax to pay that ! LolAround €4500 Jesus it's a lot of money when you see it wrote down![]()
For me 350 at night is to far !!Got to laugh when some say the average distance is 350yards away. Most of mine are 50 to 100yards.
That looks good. What magnification can you realistically use?Tonight still taken from video , fox at 180-190 m
TQ50 thunder pro , video is mint but i just cant be assed to upload to youtube.
These units are 2K
Leave the pulsars and save your money .

I would not take a shot at 350yds but I very rarely get one to come within 50yds or rarely bump into one that close, I would think that 150 to 180yds is about average on my permission, Like the comment above, don't get suckered into the must have a Pulsar, yes they hold the price well on resale but there is some excellent scopes out there for a lot less money, I have had the HIK TQ50 for a while now and I won't be changing it in a hurry its that good.Got to laugh when some say the average distance is 350yards away. Most of mine are 50 to 100yards.
I always have mine on 2X mag and the image is still excellentThat looks good. What magnification can you realistically use?
Because he doesn’t sell themWhy not?
My best bit of advice is don’t buy something you’re not going to use to its full potential, no point paying top dollar if you’re only shooting 200ydsHi all
Looking for some advice on my first thermal scope I'll be using it mainly for foxes out to 150 yards 200 at the most at the minute I'm between the pulsar thermion xg50 and xp50 I won't be going out in bad thermal conditions if I can avoid it anyway so was thinking the xg50 but I don't know I'd like to hear from people with experience with thermals.
