They are getting bigger..

Shot this farm for 10 years with the Bucks appearing to be getting bigger! Granted the younger ones get pushed out but when a mature one steps out they are never light. Good food lots of brambles with arable crops surrounding the woods.
Any fox that steps out is trimmed up as that gives the home grown pheasant's and partridges a chance around a dozen were feeding about 60 yds from the high seat when a shape was picking his way through cover in their direction. A few more yards until a yard gap, lip squeak did the trick with one less big dog fox less.
Time was ticking with an option to check out the field behind, out pops a Buck around the place where the birds where, but he was closing down the yards! The timing had to be right also the line of a close shot is not like the "normal " 100/150 yds shots, he just went to step in the wood with a bah pulling him up. "Go high or go Green" just under the spine and not a twitch.
A text came through from a local farm "can you drill a hole please 8mm" left it by your back door!!
That is done then cooked my tea lol
