Things To Do In Lockdown

Given we are now in lockdown and so stalking and shooting temporarily ended ( For those who want to deny this please vent your angst on the thread about that). So jobs to do I am now drawing up a list, for context I am better at developing lists than completing them, but here goes

1) Go through my pigeon shooting, stalking, and clay shooting stuff in the garage and have a full debunk, what am I actually ever going to use and what needs throwing out and sort out shelving and storage

2) Indoors same program in my shooting cupboards and gun safes full sort out and reorganisation, I have things that I don’t even know why I bought them

3) The big clean, 3 shotguns and 5 rifles full clean and maintenance, I do keep them in good condition but I feel a spring clean coming on

4) Expedition in to loft, I am out of the school if you know you will never use it again but don’t have room for it in the garage, default setting = put it in the loft. This will be a major project and I may need therapy following it depending on how much stuff I actually throw out

What is everyone else planning on???

or going out for "exercise" and "essential provisions" in my truck in camo with my face painted and an unloaded rifle in a slip on the back seat...just in case! ;)

Anyone want to buy a quick set 40m longnet I have? Yup I am going through the things to clear out as well. Although I was fully expecting the lockdown so I managed to get out and buy some roofing material for the shed. That will keep me busy for a day or so. Can’t rush these things.
I may bet bored when I run out of materials for the diy I’m doing.

Good point some of my medium term projects are DIY and for that I was planning on B&Q being open, that plan has now been overtaken by events, redecorating the front room and dining room may not pass the “Essential journeys “ test

waiting for postman coming with a load of shooting stuff i might need off someone called tazz? and sorting it into ,pigeon stuff, shooting stuff ,and stuff i might need in the future if i have one to put in the loft.:tiphat:

What I should do and what I will do are two very different things.

I should:

Clean the rifles, bolts apart etc
Clean the shotgun for the first time ever
Reload a chunk of ammunition
Clean the kitchen (properly)
Sharpen every single knife I own
Wet clean the stairs
Clean the car inside and out
Sort out the spare room finally

What I will do:

Ride my bike
Relentlessly practice my short game until the skirting boards can take no more
Get started on my leather gimp suit

Obviously not in that order as I need something stylish to wear on my bike rides.

As a friend pointed out a few days ago...
Self isolation? We've been doing that for decades.

Personally, I'll be doing loads of projects. Unfortunatly, work is something I can do at home easilly. So that is really getting in the way at the mo.
