Thinking of buying Swarovski 8x42 NL Pure, Axion 2 XG35 LRF and Viper-Flex® Styx PRO carbon...

Hi,
I am more or less decided buying these items:
1. Swarovski 8x42 NL Pure,
2. Axion 2 XG35 thermal spotter and
3. Viper-Flex® Styx PRO carbon
Now it is time to cool down, reassess my financial means and pull the trigger. Meanwhile, I wonder how to get a good discount and great aftercare from the seller. Any suggestions where to buy and how to get the best price? I spoke to my accountant and she said I can put it against my business. And I can claim VAT back if each transaction is over £2k
At the moment, I was offered circa £2.2k for brand new Swarovski, and it will take a few weeks to deliver. Feel it is pricey, but my family love their telescope, so I guess we will all love Swarovski. Maybe someone can offer me even better price for the same Swarovski and for other items? :)
Many thanks

Bushwear currently has the Axion 2 XG35 on sale.

£200 off normal price for standard version.

£490 off normal price for Laser Range Finder version.

Nadhim Zahawi also had an accountant like that I believe

If you’re going to be using the thermal and bins together, I’d consider taking a serious look through the 10x32 NL Pure, which are considerably lighter than the x42 models, and offer very good light gathering for their size, I compared mine to my Zeiss classic 8x56 T P bins, and the latter only offered a few minutes (under 10) advantage in terms of colour of picture, with lower mag but at a significant weight penalty. I was sufficiently impressed with their performance to see to it that Santa fetch lady Ff a pair also. Your T.I. Unit will give you the steer, thereafter you’ll be looking to gather detail. Recommended.

Edit: in time, should you eventually wind down or retire, any VAT monies thus saved may well have to be repaid should you eventually de-register.

I also think you should consider the 8x32 binocular.
I just bought the Leica 8x32 pro RF binos to replace my 8x42 model. The weight and size difference is great and they are still excellent in low light.

Thank you, I was thinking about this option too because it will be cheaper, lighter and more compact. Not sure if I want more magnification, but, since I plan buying head rest, I perhaps can keep it stable. However, will it be good enough after the sunset or it does not matter as I will use thermal imaging anyway? On my last stalk, we did not manage to find the carcass because it was too dark...

Thank you, very interesting. Do you use thermal imaging along with it?

I respectfully urge you to check the field of view width figures of the 10x pure (a revelation, both literally and in terms of specification), and be sure to try to get a look through a pair with and without the headrest fitted, as it’s not a gimmick. Then consider the potential for using the glasses for eg birdwatching or other viewing, and other activities. I used to be a firm believer in the depth of field, and field of view of 7x magnification over 8x, also because of the ability to use the 7x for viewing for over half an hour at a time when observing a deer etc without suffering eye strain, but the NL Pure goes a very great way in addressing these aspects, especially with the headrest fitted.
