Thinking of reloading,

jees it was only a question asking others thoughts on the matter, i obviously worked up my loads from my first group test with the Hornady brass,
or my next results wouldnt read like this, i think i may of worded my question wrong, now i know powder, charge weights and bullets can have different results, but can different cases, going through all my different charge weights, bullets and powders, it seems like i have had better results when using the ADI brass, but i wasnt sure if it was down to the brass, the fact id used the OAL gauge and a bullet comparator, or with it being marginal results, could it of just been my shooting,

My 2 cents, I never use the same data in 2 different case makes. Will one brand of brass group better? I do not know I never did the comparison. Your results could be your shooting or brass. When the results are there stop changing the data hence components.

jees it was only a question ...
I would like to make a suggestion, and to add further to one of the longest running threads...

Take yourself off, and do the NRA Homeloading Course.

It will make you a God amongst men, give you unlimited kudos on the firing point, and gets you invited to all the very best parties.

It is also a well know fact, that women find reloaders irresistible (or is that irratable?) I tried it and I haven't looked back...

as part of my testing my aim is to keep everything the same, when possible, i just followed the same charge weights as powder manufactures recommended as no date a saw said to change for different cases, iv one mor batch of testing tomorrow before i make my final decision, but the defernites are looking like ADI brass, V-max bullets, and a certain charge weight with RL-10 and one with N-133.
then you can all be dome with me :D

This is ment to be taken lightly and I hope you take it as such. If after tomorrow everything comes together for you and I hope it does. Please get your bloody name down to help out those useless bar stewards that are working on Trident. You might even get a uniform.. Seriously good luck.

I've found ADI brass to be really consistent. I've now switched to it only for my 223

seems hard to find at the moment, luckily i have 150 factory loads iv not used yet so iv them to fall back on when needs be, ADI gamekings, 👍
I'm sure I got mine from Spuds last time round. I ordered 200 brass at the time so have enough to do me for a while.

Never knew the did factory ammo then again I've never put factory thru my 223

in my local they do ADI sierra gameking and blitzking, both very accurate, but my homeloads are better and half the price :D

What's the price on the factory ADI ammo?

I found it better on a certain calibre to buy the factory rounds, shoot them and then keep the brass than it was to actually just buy the brass 😳

this was my thought, i think the gamekings were £21 per 20 and the blitzkings £25, last lot of new brass i saw was £80 per 100, or £105 for factory, no brainer really

Yup no brainer.

With me I have a 6mmXC being built.
For Norma brass it is £180 per 100. I got Norma match factory ammo for £100 per 100.

Needless to say I filled my allowance with the factory ammo and will use the factory stuff to break in the barrel and start the reloading process for that calibre

so chaps, the final conclusion to all my testing, iv narrowed it down to make use of my Hornady and ADI brass and my RL-10 & N-133 powder,
the winner are for the Hornady brass, 23.5gr of N-133 with Sierra SPT bullets, 3 different group sizes were .5" .5" & 1" but .3 without flyer (WOF)
and ADI brass its 20.4gr of RL-10 with Hornady V=max bullets, group size .4" .5" & .6" in no particular order,
although iv sorted that out I'm obviously still learning and will continue to do so, despite some F ups so far im still very much enjoying the process and im sure i will continue to.
iv already spent more on the kit and powders, primers and bullets than id of spent on factory loads in 10 years:lol:
and again, i could not of done it with the help and advise from you guys, so a massive thanks to you all🍻
