Thinnest waterproof gloves

Please could members recommend waterproof gloves that are thin enough to shoot in?

I use MacWet gloves which I find excellent, very tactile and allows for dexterity. Ideally I'd like something as close as possible to these whilst being waterproof.

I doubt anything 'thin' will keep you warm. We used to get flock-lined rubber gloves from agricultural stores for working outside on sites, mainly to protect fingers from bricks and blocks, though.
I have the largest Sealskins, and they are not big enough for my maulers.

It is true, they wont be warm but if I can keep the wind and rain off I'll be fine as I expect to be moving all day. If I was sitting then I have a pair of bulky waterproof mittens that go over the top of my MacWets and I pull one of prior to the shot.

In a previous life I worked on professional firework displays and we had the contract for the Edinburgh & Stirling Hogmanays…. having set everything out we then had to wire everything in to the firing system so wearing full gloves made that impossible…. I ended up wearing non-waterproof fleece fingerless mitts in all weathers and being out on the battlements on a castle on top of a hill at the end of December exposed to wind, rain, hail, snow is much like being out on the hill.

I was more than impressed I could still feel my fingers and keep the dexterity to work with the bell-wire…those mitts were cheap n cheerful but I’ve got some Cabelas which are a step above…. One pair has the fold over mitt top.

👍😎

Why not just put nitriles on under your Macwets ?
try un powdered nitrile long cuff in black on top of the macwets, if you get too hot whip em off
they work quite well and don’t get a real sweat on good for the high seat, dry & weatherproof

As mentioned I have never found a truly waterproof shooting/stalking glove, even the old Sealskinz and Military gortex mitts leak if out all day in the pish.

This might sound daft and a tad off base , however fingerless woolen gloves . DONT TAKE THEM OFV IF THEY GET WET !
Wool keeps its insulation properties when left wet but only if left on . If you have a second pair to put on fair enough swap over if not leave them on

Soldier 95 pattern leather goretex gloves from fleabay. Might be too bulky to shoot with, but they fulfil everything else you're looking for. Should be about twenty quid.

Laksen gloves are very good , might be too thick for your needs but the best I have found , not the cheapest but in my opinion the best gloves I have ever owned

Marigolds will keep you dry but not sure how they will work in cold or for shooting. Maybe wear them over warm gloves?

I bought a pair of Harkilla gloves, leather palms with goretex from bushwear
Not the cheapest but they work and there is enough sensitivity in the fingers to shoot well and operate with dexterity.

Hmmm. Bit of a clue to your previous life in your avatar I guess!
