I bought one of the victorinox hunter knives. A main blade, a serrated curved blade with rounded end for unzipping, and a saw. I have it in my stalking jacket pocket as I sometimes forget to put my fixed blade on when just nipping out. I have found it very good on both roe and MJ and the odd fallow. Very sharp, saw is stiff enough to cut the breast on the fallow no problem. I don't bother with the serrated blade for unzipping as I use the finger on end of blade method, but it is excellent for running up the legs when skinning. Main blade is a bit thin and lacks a very sharp point when first bought which made it useless for bleeding or hocking the legs. That was soon remedied on a stone.
As a main knife for roe and MJ it would be fine, but a little small for larger deer if they are the main subjects.
Hope that is of help.
Both blades lock and unlock easily.
