Ticks

Bravecto 3 month duration covers the biggest period. Any of the products that have a drug ending in "-laner" will do though. Surest collars reputed to be good too. Frontpro is available without a vet prescription.
What ever you use is a chemical
@Buchan well knows my thoughts about Bravecto and in our conjecture, the outcomes we had with a Vizsla.

Just read this from the very recent Guardian article:

Other approaches (tick/Lyme Disease vaccinations) are also being explored. Among them is monoclonal antibody from Tonix Pharmaceuticals, which could be given before exposure to ticks, while Hu is working on a drug with Tarsus Pharmaceuticals that is already used to protect dogs and cats. Unlike the vaccines, this drug – known as lotilaner – kills the ticks, rather than the bacteria they carry. 😱
Despite my earlier comments years ago that I wished they did a Bravecto for humans, I certainly won't be using this one if it comes to market!

Following the various posts on here last year, I used Hedgewitch on the dog.. and myself, after he picked up a tick in bracken… swmbo also used it on herself to protect against bitey things for which she is just a magnet…

Cheers
