Tikka changed twist rate for .243?

Just having a gander on Tikka website and couldn’t help notice that the twist rate has changed on the .243 to 1:8” from 1:10”!

How can I tell the current twist rate on my Tikka 243, dont have any info on it.
It shoots 58 grain very tight.

Some electrical tape.
Cleaning Patches

Well while it helps with long for caliber copper ....... It very well might start dusting the 55 -58 and other light varmint rounds in flight .
You just cannot spin everything faster as an answer all . Personally i would much rather it stayed similar but bullet legislation regards weight was dumped .

Don’t recall seeing this on other calibres

10 Twist in 6 mm is a little slow

8 ok but 7 better to allow for 100 g class and above

Hey the 22 hornet is 1-14 twist and a super light jacket ! Look what they are doing to petrol and diesel vehicles though , Lawnmowers etc . Do our governments think " well we will get more sales tax ?! "

running thin jacketed 55 / 58 grn varmint rounds though ? I mean that's what kept be on 243 for so many years and i might point out i never thought i needed a cabinet full of rifles
surely thats why .243 has been in the top three globally for so long ? Can it remain so without having that fast n light ammo capabilities ?
I havent actually tried it because i moved to fast twist 6.5 because of copper but something like the barnes ttsx at around 70 grains will easy kill any uk deer clean ( based on my 100 grain TTSX experiance) .

Standard twist for 22 hornet is 1/16".

My Sako .223 is 1:12 is great with under 60gr…..62gr is the limit. struggles to stabilise anything heavier.

this MAY be a printing error about the 243.

AFAIK Sako/Tikka only engrave twists on barrels that are available in two rates. Case in point the .223s – available in 1:12" and 1:8"

Maybe now they’ve sorted the twist they might start making barrels in different lenghs ,not everyone wants a 20

It does seem they’ve changed the twist on Tikkas, Sako’s are still showing a 10” twist.
