Tikka T1 x .22LR ammo preferences

Got one of these coming next week - 16" barrel .
Can owners please give me recommendations for ammo.
I shoot subsonic for squirrels and rabbits .

I am looking at RWS, CCi, Winchester, or Eley subs usually.

If anyone does use non subs for vermin then please let me have your thoughts in T1x

CCI segmented was the most accurate in mine.

CCI Subs are spot on in mine. Ely were ok, Winchester I might had well have just thrown them at the target.

I have had pretty amazing groups with the eley subs but will give the cci s a go now .bought some Norma's also but they're not so great ..T1 is a cracker though esp with the wider fore end and pistol grip add ons ..

Eley gave gone to shite since going over to the new white label, my CZ loved the old green ones, I must have tried 7 or 8 different batches of the new and they don’t group as well and have loads of “crackers”
CCI are good but overall a louder round than the Eley

Winchester became a waste of time in my guns when they changed to the 42grain bullets, probably the same for you.

The thing is that only with a very few types of ammunition that my Tikka gives less than rabbit head accuracy at 50 M. I just get picky about such things. ~Muir

Pop pop futt go Eley. One in three wont go pop. Useless blooming things but 2 out of three group but what use is that. You are paying for two thirds of fucntality.
