good afternoon ,my local gun shop used to just put in the rifles details and could give me manufactured date and sold date.ask your local rfd they may help. condition and usage are more important than age though.

You can directly contact Tikka themselves via Facetube. I've asked exactly the same question regarding one of mine and got the answer back very quickly.

Best to contact Tikka directly and get the correct answer, I was selling an S&B scope and the information given by an RFD ? to an interested person on here was over 10years older from true manufacture date always best therefore to contact Tikka etc.

If it has a British proof mark look in the rifles section under proof marks and it will tell you the year.

To age a rifle just bury it in dirt, leave it for a year and then dig it up.

GMK would be my starting point.

Several years ago I bought a new Tikka T3 from a small gunshop that was closing down. The rifle, I was told, had been in the shop for several years from new and had remained unsold. One phone call to GMK with the serial number and this information was confirmed by saying that the rifle was sent to the specific gunshop in question new from GMK, they also gave me the date that the rifle was sent from GMK to the shop.
