Tikka T3

The main problem with modern Tikkas isn't the plastic, it's the quality of steel they use. Far less resistant to corrosion than even the early T3.
I had my 6.5x55 cerakoted as the stainless steel action (but not the barrel) tarnished easily despite it being wiped down after each outing. My 270win has been fine.

The thought of paying good money for anything, with the view it’s needing aftermarket upgrade parts…, before it’s even out of the packaging, is beyond me.

I agree the t3’s are very good functional rifles, but they’re priced well above where they should be - they’re priced where they should be if they came with decent stocks, metal parts etc and needed nothing ‘upgrading’.

I’d still not have one as I detest single stack mags, and everyone has one!!! 😂

People always moan about the plastic magazines but I've got one that's 20years old and has had some hammer but still functions perfectly. When I had the action bedded into a grs stock I stuck with the factory mag.
They are also very lightweight
