Will soon be in possession of the above, and will be reloading. Can anyone please give me a heads up as to what the they use in regards to bullet weight, I prefer VMax, but open to your experiences. The rifle has a 8" twist. Thanks
all rifles differ slightly so what suits one or several rifles may not suit yours, also depends on your shooting needs ,target/deer/vermin etc .buy a few boxes and find a load YOUR rifle likes . 1in 8 twist could be a 6.5x55 <or lower class 6.5> /new 243/223rem etc etc .
If it's a 223 Rem then mine most likes 75gn ELDM's, with 22gn N135 behind them.
It pretty much hates anything under 60gn - chucks them all over the place, and equally starts to wobble with the 77 Lapuas.
It's ok with the 80 ELD-X's you can still shoot a 4" steel at 400yds but not as tight as the 75's which will hit that same 4" at 600yds.
Furthest I sent the 75's was 1075yds onto a 50cm steel plate although the 17mph crosswind made it more challenging.
