We do a lot of gear for JCB.
Stillages mostly for production or parts transportation.. sometimes large manipulation gear.
We also do stuff for their experimental department.
The work varies between interesting, stressful and or very boring.
@Rasputin the company is AHS Engineering.
It's been going 15 years but I've only been there 18 months. Know the gaffer for years though.

Just had a look at the website, all looks good, nice clean work area with some very interesting jobs on the go . 😀👍🏻

I worked for JCB for a while, it was……. Interesting.

Anyhow, today I be mostly,
Trying not to lose my sh1t with a tosser director who is a complete 🔔end.
Trying not to lose my sh1t with suppliers who promise all and deliver nothing.
Trying to write contract tenders whilst fuming about the above wind up merchants.

Usual sort of day really.

We used to service the hydraulic chisels for JCB back In the day ,new pipes seals paint job .
Totally agree with Singing Stalker management trained at Bellendrickus school of dumbass .
I lasted a month and walked out.

Up at 6; en route to bathroom stepped over old Skye who of course left us a few weeks ago - confirmed this when I left the bathroom and she wasn’t lying nose-to the bathroom door and the utter silence rather than the usual thump, thump of her wagging tail hitting the lounge door. Long sigh and fond smile ensued…..
Got all the gear together for the range - yet to be loaded into the car. Took apart 6 of Lady FB’s overwintered favourite solar spotlights (yes - I know) - now giving each a boost on MY shooting batteries charger; simply must be tested before I escape…
3 rifles to check zero on - 2x.308 and a bonus fiddle with the Pard 008P on the sainted triple deuce - decided to use three of the five zeros for 100; 200 and 300 yards - no I don’t know why either - I will never remember which is which or even how to toggle between each….
Anyhoo having read the latest posts on this thread and the busy lives I realise that retirement really is the way to go - though hopefully not for a few years yet - if you get my drift!

you can't burn the candle at both ends as you get older.

Not quite working, but driving down into central London today for first time in my life... 😵‍💫😬
Are we about to see @BenBhoy 180 degree turn on immigration 🤣
I've been to London 3 times in my life, visiting cousins as a child, 2001 countryside march and chilli peppers consort in Hyde Park I think 2004 with no intention of going back.
Today am splitting firewood boring but necessary.
