In which case the one eyed loon, Gordon Brown, would have been the nomination.
Blair realised that people had seen through his smoke and mirrors, resigned and unopposed Brown became PM.
He took the blame for the next election defeat, Blair walked away without a blemish, oh, apart from the illegal wars, dodgy dossiers etc....
Slimy, nasty piece of work IMHO.

I dislike the bloke, however I suspect he’s been given credit for the good Friday agreement, or his contribution to gay rights.
Not the 5 times he went to war is 6 years one of which should have seen him behind bars, or the waste of tax payers funds establishing the hunting act.
He’s very good at politics and the slippery bugger could land in **** and would come out smelling of roses. At a net worth of over 60m he’s done very well for himself since too.
