Top tyres for a Jimny

VED is a bit excessive for them. I always wince when that time comes round but it is what it is.

Out of interest, do you find that you suffer from an unholy amount of wasps and flies and stuff like that coming in the windows whilst they are open in the summer. I have never had a vehicle that suffers so much from this. It could be because it moves along at glacial speeds which offers the jaspers an easy chance of entry or maybe it creates some sort of vortex that sucks them in. The only other thing which annoys me is puddles which basically cover the windscreen in water. Always ready on the wipers as a puddle approaches.
🤣…. as it ‘appens, I left the supermarket yesterday and became aware of a buzzing in the car to see a young wasp in the rv mirror being held against the back window by the breeze 😳🤨. I couldn’t stop til I got to the bottom of my road a good 5 minutes later and it flew past my head and out.

Been a few years since I last had a wasp in there but when I‘m parked waiting with the back door and windows open, the car fills up with the small fruit flies, daddy long legs, moths… you name it! 🤣

When I’m out on a back bumper session, I use the 3D effect nets as sold by A1 Tackle… iirc that’s 4m lengths over the roof/bonnet, another down the left and a 5m down the right including the back door. The side nets are held in place by those strong magnetic base cup hooks. I’ve got a set of the darker green ‘summer’ nets to look like a bramble patch and another of the lighter ‘Autumn/winter’ to become part of the hedge.

They’re very effective….. the other night I had half a dozen fallow right in front of me at 20yards …..and a single doe less than 20 behind me, she could scent the others and me and was there for a good 5-10 minutes trying to work me out. Lovely. 🤣

cheers
