Below are some trail cam pics from some ground in Wiltshire. Normally just muntjac with occasional roe but these look like fallow to me. Note the visible tail and a possible leucistic? Opinions please…
Wouldn’t mind shooting the odd one for personal consumption. More buck for you bang than muntjac!
It’s only the third time I’ve ever seen fallow there since it was arable land when I was a kid.
It’s being clear felled soon but not worried about the fallow as they are so few. Will definitely be reducing muntjac numbers between now and replanting though.
