Being up to date with my chores and catching up with the SD, it got me thinking about my two trail cams which have been out for a while, a very long while...
Due to concentrating on fallow and thinking hard on the dates, I have not been to one of my permissions which only holds roe and muntie since 31 October.
On this 300 acre wood I have two Bushnell 8m pixel trail cameras out which I check and replace memory cards every time. Last time I replaced the batteries in one (8xAAs) with the other showing 60%. Both have decent 32GB memory cards.
Anyway, it got me thinking about the total number of pictures I look forward to sifting through
when I finally return.
So as a bit of fun, I thought I would run a little guessing game competition to release some of the boredom in lockdown with the prize being a new Granton butchery larder sheath that I bought but have never used.
So, thinking of battery life and memory space, the potential time spent already in situ and what is potentially left in lockdown, how many photos captured do you think there will be in total between the two?
For clarity - not talking pictures of our actual wonderful British wildlife - Im talking the total number of photos registered on both machines combined located in prime spots when I plug in what were reformatted blank memory cards into my laptop. Will try and evidence with screen shots.
Keen to get there as soon as I can with this guessing game open to all.
Will update as and when possible.
