@d0nni posted in another thread, but thought it deserves its own thread, so here goes:-
Few things I'd like to see
1) Dealer ads kept up to date, maybe at least every six months that the dealer has to confirm the price is still current.
For example I am looking for yet another CZ457, there are a few listed by the same dealer, different calibres, but all new at £430 each. When you look on the dealers own website, price is listed at £584. Looking again at the TT ad, the date that the ad was placed is 30/06/2021. Inflation and exchange rates have kicked in over the last 3 years.
2) Being able to group models and sub models easier.
Using the CZ457 above, I'd like to be able to select Manufacturer:CZ, then Model:457 (or possibly Model Family), and Update Results at that point, rather than having to select each Variant:MTR, Synthetic, etc, rather than having to tick the 21 different variants listed. At least they are all listed so you can select which ones and then hitting Update Results
3) A search box when you select Manufacturer or Model, so you can quickly get to where you want to be, rather than have to scroll through a long list.
4) The ability to Save a Search, possibly get email updates when a new or changed listing fits the criteria.
5) Being able to filter the search to just trade or private sellers.
6) Probably will need TriggerTraders to set up another account to be a Trade Supporter to SD.
So, what do others want from a listing company like this? We all had a few good moans at what GunTrader have done in the last few years, and the fact that any feedback to them has been ignored, so if TriggerTraders are willing to listen, maybe we all should start supporting those that listen, and maybe get some more RFDs to use their services.
I can already see that a couple of RFDs that I use have started listing on TT. I'm not surprised after the most recent GT ClusterF**k
Hi,
I'm one of the owners of TriggerTraders - My bother and I set it up a few years ago. Thanks for the kind words - we are actively trying to make it work for our customers and the public. Anything you all would like to see improved / added please let us know.
Things in the pipeline:
Public / Trade listing breakdown
Adding a SGC as a Certificate kind (were from Northern Ireland so the Firearms licence covers all)
Generating a Newsletter for bi weekly updates / information
Migrating Hosting to a faster server (tested in principle - just need to migrate the live)
We are not expensive at all for RFD listings - our pricing is probably the cheapest in the UK for this (£5 for 50 or £10 for unlimited) Private listings are £1.25 for a firearm and free for any type of equipment.
We work alongside EPOSLink and have direct integration with their GunTracker software - This can be purchased as a standalone platform (£75pm) which is probably best in the trade for managing back office stock on firearms / ammo / issuing certificates to police services reporting etc. They're a very well established company in the industry for this and well thought of by many of their clients whom which we share.
Anyone wises to know anything let me know - happy to discuss
