Tripod Vice?

Does anyone know of cheap vice that I could mount ( or adapt to mount) to a camera tripod? I don't want to shoot with it, I just want it to hold rifles steady whilst i clean them.

I'm currently using a tipton table top stand in the kitchen, but that is causing a bit of dometic friction! I have seen the standing vices that tipton produce but they seem an awful lot of money especially as I have a couple of heavy duty tripods already.

I have a redundant saddle / hog clamp if you could adapt?
