Trophy Shield for large red

Ladies and gents

I am looking for a shield for a rather special stag. Had a few mounted on the large bushwear boards which are nice but a tad bland. Has anyone got any advice on where to buy a nice Bavarian style carved shield, tried the usual etsy, ebay…just wondering if there are any hidden gems out there. Any pictures welcome .

@Edinburgh Rifles have some stunning oak and/or walnut ones. Not carved like you describe, but really lovely in veining and texture

Go onto Facebook and on the U.K. deer stalking groups find a guy called Graeme Reith - he makes some stunning shields in all manner of shapes and sizes and wood types.

Maybe @Remy700 could comment if he’s on the stalking directory?

Just as a follow up and food for thought, there was a hole in the rear of the board-obviously where a burr was. The .308 case fitted in nicely so a friend used resin to fix it in place, which I think is rather smart.
