Two days in July, two Bucks.

Over the past two years I’ve been trying to start and complete my DSC2, CV19 has done its level best to stop me. With the restrictions that come with Covid, permissions, invitations and bookings have all been affected one way or another. I was booked into one large estate in England twice and it has been either postponed or cancelled, in the end they have sadly stopped doing witnessed stalks altogether, one can only assume because of the huge increase in the number of walkers on the estate thanks to Covid.

To keep busy with my shooting, I completed the Wildboar course at Carlton Moor with the NGO, as we enjoy a good wild-boar roast at home on a Sunday and Wildboar shooting needs the extra training to be safe, well worth doing and an opportunity to legally spend time with fellow stalkers and professionals.
One of those professionals I have known for a number of years and I happily call a good friend (Adrian, British Shooting Services) and with whom we’ve done some of our Wild-boar shooting here in England. It never entered my head to ask, could he help with the DSC2?

The answer was of course yes.

Adrian has an exceptionally friendly and cooperative working relationship with the landowners, managing the land, keeping their crops protected and the wildlife too. Keeping a healthy balance. My kind of stalking. Needless to say, Two days in July, two bucks. I could not be happier. The location, choice and quality of the deer is excellent. A testament to his skills and knowledge of land management and stalking. A real privilege to spend time with him in the field.

Thank you British Shooting Services, Adrian you’re a star!
