UK Deer and tracking.

UK deer tracking and recovery are running a best practice day in South Wales on Sunday 21st July. The day involves analysis of reaction to shot, shot site inspection and what to do/expect along with the when, what and why to call a tracking team and how to improve chances of a recovery.

The day is free of charge.

Location TBC.

Larry UKDTR certainly can do, as long as some one is willing to do the leg work, providing the facilities etc and there is the interest. Not likely to be this year though.

Unfortunately I can’t commit to the voluntary side of things, which unless mistaken is a condition if signing up for the training ?
So the open day appealed as expert eyes would be checking me and my youngun out as well as imparting valuable knowledge .

The days are not geared towards dog handling. They are for some ,a remind and revise and for others building open already learnt knowledge, in how to deal with a lost deer situation, maximising the chances of a successful recovery. Stalkers immediate actions often dictate a successful or not, the days aim address what is the best practice or lack of delivered through other means.
