Very unusual. Personally I would have loved to have it about so that I could have observed it's habits over the years.

With the advent of thermal everything is visible to poachers. Colour is irrelevant.

I had an almost identical buck from North Fife around 2001, it is quite common to still get Roe with white socks in this area but not had others with the body coloration. Unfortunately the buck was part of a management cull and I was unable keep the skin.......

There used to be a buck, like that but with more white, on the road into the Glenfarclas distillery . He got very tame as folk stopped to look at him. Unfortunately he stepped out in front of the distillery wagon one early morning. He must have thought it would stop to take a photo as the driver said he just stood till he was hit. The driver knew he had something special and in the end it was fully mounted. You can still see him in Grahams gun shop in Inverness. It was said that those doing the whisky trail had to wonder how much they had consumed on their journey when they saw him!...J

I saw a Piebald White-Tail a number of years ago myself , it is unusual .

Shame to kill such a lovely deer. There's alot more 'white' roe about than people imagine.

Interesting to see. Has anyone ever come across an all white one that isn't albino?
