Uttings, unable to contact re defective sight.

Hi does anyone have a phone number for uttings the one on sight does not allow you to talk to anyone and the online request will not accept my email, I've tried 3 different ones, I have a defective sight that. Weds to be replaced, it's a crying shame that you are unable to speak to a real person when you have been sold defective equipment.
 
They only respond to e-mail which is not ideal.
The phone number directs you to website and 'contact us' box.
I did have an issue with an order and they responded quickly to e-mail but perhaps if you have a defective item then it is more re-assuring to speak to a person.
 
Thanks for this, I really cannot stand companies that do not have an easy after sales service. I will take your experience onboard and not use them in the future, along with my growing list of other faceless companies. I can totally understand your frustration. I hope you manage to sort it out.
 
Uttings do respond quickly in my limited experience. The not answer the phone bit just saves them lots of wages/NI/pension payment and allows for a better staffing level in the warehouse. I expect it will only take 48 hours for a reply.
 
Can't speak for aftersales but I submitted a query about a product on their website, via the online form, and had a response within 24 hours. That was using an email address @ my own domain name. Not to say it hasn't gone glitchy since then!
 
Emailed them again with my phone numberq still no reply , I now have no way of getting my sight replaced it's very frustrating , I will have to buy a new sight from another company which will obviously be a drain on my bank balance. 😕

Very surprised to hear this. They have always been excellent whenever I have used them in the past.

Out of interest, what sight was it you purchased and when? Can you go through another retailer to claim on the warranty? Obviously it’s not ideal and not fantastic at all from Uttings…

Vortex do have a no quibble warranty I’m very surprised and disappointed in your lack of response from Uttings tbo. I suspect this will remove them from the dealers I shop with🤷‍♂️
