Vacuum for ash?

Can anyone recommend a small hand held vacuum for the ashes that fall from a log burner.
I'm currently sweeping up the ashes in the mornings, as I lay a new fire ready for lighting later in the day but this is causing the hearths stone to go grey and dirty. The ashes are Cold so won't cause any harm.
I thought that a cheap vacuum for just this job would be better than brushing.
Any recommendations?

Ignore the rest. 👍. If I need something just for a small on amount the stone hearth then I use a battery Makita one.
Makita are good, I have loads of that brand.
But no small electrical item in my workshop has lasted longer than my Henry, nearly 30 years old :), and it's never gone wrong, not even a replacement switch...

What happens when you wipe the grey and dirty hearth with a damp mildly soapy cloth?
I find that the ash is not difficult to remove

I have an Henry type vac that lives in the garage, looking for something small that can be stored in a small cupboard and be easily reached

Brush and dump ash into ash bucket
Wipe down hearth with damp cloth

Used to have a lidl ash vacuum wwas very good but the mesh filter burst ....

Just another thing to store somewhere ....

Saying that if back in lidl id have another

We have two woodburners in use all winter and use a Dyson cordless V7 animal… it sits on a wall charger, does the woodburners, the kitchen floor, front and back doormats everyday… it’s a winner 👍

PS and clears the crap out of the Defender footwells lol.

I just use a brush and pan.

The fine ash will soon clog a filter on the vac a bag one like Henry would be best but you'll soon get fed up hence why a brush and pan lives under the stove.

No it doesn’t clog, there’s no bag… it’s a clear canister where the bottom drops and empties…. Have to empty it everyday into the kitchen swingbin.

Dyson V7 for me. Best thing since sliced bread. Damp cloth to follow up if need be. Monthly deep clean and then spray with WD50.
Ceramic hob cleaner is good for the glass.

There will be a filter on the exhaust. Fine dust clogs them.
I'm forever washing my wife's units she uses in her customers homes. Concrete floors are murder on them too.

Can only tell you as I’ve found… yes there is a conical filter… I just rinse it under the tap ( not very often) and use another until it dries on the rad.
Have tried Henry’s and other ash canister hoovers but the Dyson beats all.
