I’d love to have a rifle like this!
I had the good fortune to recently have to work up loads for my bosses 8x60rs 8x60jr and also zero his 9.3x74r double rifles. Prior to him going driven boar shooting....
Loved shooting them on the range but would be good to have a ‘real go’ with one!!!!
Yes had to pay a lot of attention while loading bosses rifles, make sure not to put the .323 loads in the .318 riflePalmer Mike
Driven Boar. Ah yes. That's the sort of thing.
I was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time (serendipity). I actually wasn't even sure which 8mm calibre it was - there are many of course - when I made my offer to buy it.
I just knew I had to have it.
Bought it as an 8 x 57JR .After sending a few rounds out and looking at the now "reformed in the chamber" brass I realised it wasn't 57mm ! Something amiss ! (I did, however take the precaution of using .318 JR loads first) As above all good as it was .323
A lot of research and aggro. (well it is an old double)
Owning this rifle has been an journey of eduction and pleasure. I just wish I had the chance to get out and use it more (like most of us I suspect)
All in good time.
Aye
I can well imagine.Yes had to pay a lot of attention while loading bosses rifles, make sure not to put the .323 loads in the .318 rifle
He came back in one piece so I assume so .I can well imagine.
I trust your boss keeps the same level of attention when shooting the things![]()
LOVEX D062, marketed here in the US as Shooter's World "Precision"
No idea Banus. How about Middle East (work) and Worcestershire? Does that help you? Better now?I thought a approx. location was required by the forum rules?
Thanks for the catch. I never need to use that LOVEX designation so often screw it up.~MuirSO-62 that should be. (DO grades are something else entirely, ie double-based and mostly ball type.)
