Wanted: Vermin (or any) shooting Lichfield

Just moved to Lichfield looking for any sporting opportunities.

I'm a 34 year old ex military fully insured shooting instructor who enjoys all forms of shooting but struggling to find any in a new area.

get door knocking mate, i once knocked on 45 farms and only got one yes

it is bloody hard work , but keep your chin up fella

Cheers tried another 6 farms today none of them have problems even though I can see the crow in with piglets and pigeons on the rape!!!

What sort of shooting are you after or what do you own that you shoot with ?

I currently own shotguns 22LR and 17 HMR I'm looking for a 243 at the moment, having just sold my 204 and 308.

Pottering the hedgerows and a decoying with some bunny bashing would be perfect.

I'll be looking to join a small DIY game shoot when I can find one.

Happy to offer help on farms or stock work RFD services in exchange.

Trying to join local clay shooting club, but they only meet twice a month on a Saturday, I often work Saturdays teach people to shoot. Waiting for a reply from local barracks that looks possible.

Still looking a very helpful lead came through turned out the guy who gave me permission did have permission to give permission!!

There's a pigeon shooting club based at Hammerwich with land all around the area. Not sure how long the waiting list is at the moment though. It's only shotguns and air rifles though, no rimfire or C/F rifles

last time I enquired there was a long waiting list, it was linked to pigeon watch to.
they used to have rifle shooting but they stopped it, think its around 2000 acres of mixed crop and grass

I was at Whittigton Barracks until last year. Don't think there is any shooting on the MoD land because for years they have let locals walk and ride over it in droves. The clay club on Common Lane near the Barracks shoots Thursdays I think. John Shooter's pigeon shooting club may have fields in the area. Good luck.
