And it's getting longer, but it's always worth asking you never know there may be someone in need of a beater.

Try posting to Facebook groups... chicken keeping/ small holdings etc. I had some success with a simple well written post +photo for rats.

Shouldn't be too hard to convince someone to let you stand in a filthy farmyard at midnight getting rid of rats surely lol

See if you can get some reliable beating in on the local estate, that normally leads to getting vermin control permissions and invites to shoots etc,

I already beat 40+ days but non of the places I beat offer the chance to shoot pigeons or rabbits. Just thought I'd try and swap my last few days of availability for a few outings.

You're beating on the wrong estates then Every place I've ever beat or picked up has led to some stalking, pigeon shooting, bunnies etc. Admittedly not overnight but after a couple of seasons when folk get to know you and realise you're a decent bloke and trustworthy.

I've beat for the same people 15+ years. They do offer shooting but mainly just crows. They don't offer pigeon shooting as they don't do arable it's all sheep.

All I really wanted to do was swap a few days of my time for a few days shooting. But I've decided just to sell my time and use the cash for buying a day on the pigeons.
