Very early Winchester 52

The Lyman scope you have isn’t a common scope to have, quite difficult to find and needless to say expensive.

My interest as l said has changed slightly l now seem to be more attracted to the Swedish scopes as in my avatar.
I love the Ajack scopes on the Swedes. The 6.5x55 is a fantastic round - I regularly shoot mine at the Trafalgar meeting at 200, 600 and 900 yards.

Now I’m putting 2+2 together here and most likely get it wrong but your initials don’t happen to be NG do they. ?

I to have a couple of Swedes one with the Ajack 4x90 and one with the AGA 42 scope as shown in my avatar.

I don’t think I’m wrong but could be, too many coincidences !

Yes - those are my initials. This is what my m41B will do at 900 yards. I have shot a 75 ex 75 but the group was actually as good as this one.

I should have known from the outset who you were when you pictured the Winchester rifle and scope and moreover the leather scope tube, the internet can be a small world.

My word if l could even shoot 900 yards let alone compose a group pictured I’d be a very happy man, well done you, was that the occasion at the Trafalgar when you won the Vortex scope ? That’s my recollection of a chat we once had.

Since last l saw you at the Birmingham Arms Fair l finally found a couple of Swede rifles and a couple of extra Swede scopes plus other accessories, the collection grows.

I won the Vortex scopes at the CSR Nationals. I wish they handed out goodies like that at the Trafalgar meet.
