viewing images in the gallery

has to be something to do with the dimensions of the image.
i can see some images that are posted in the galley that have smaller dimensions.

All the images are resized to the same dimensions and saved as a 'medium' image though :???:. It is this resized image that is displayed to you when you first view an image in the gallery, you only get the full size version when you click on the 'medium' version.

The exception is if the image is smaller than the preset 'medium' size, in which case it is displayed at its original size only.

If it works in IE but not in Firefox then it HAS to be something to do with your installation of Firefox because the server sees no difference between them, it just dishes up the image and your browser decides how to display them.

Quite often I see a small notation under the Firefox banner " You are not using the latest version" or some similar message, if I click on this it updates my version, worth a look?

Yeah, checked that. I'm running up to date version.

csl, Have a look at this link to Firefox's support page. It says images will not load correctly if backslashes are used. Is this something that needs looking at?

when viewing an image it has a box on the right hand side of the screen with photo details in it. I have noticed when the filesize has one size eg. 547.4kb. and not two sizes eg. 33.9kb, 159.8kb. I can view the image. the same with the dimensions. for eg. I can view an image 638 x 559 but not 2024 x 1518. any ideas??

I can't view any in the gallery. I can when I use IE though. Must be something our end, I just can't figure it out. It's a fairly new problem for me, I will try a system restore if I get no joy soon.

Good luck Mike, Happy New Year!

All OK now for some reason... After trying everything to no avail, then out of the blue, all OK. Strange, not complaining though.

Hmm... I'm having the same problem. Tried a couple of different browsers (Firefox and IE), cleared the cache etc, still no joy
