Views on ATM Mars thermal scopes ?

Hi there
Thinking of switching from my NV scope to a thermal. (Currently Pard NV008) and was looking at the ATM Mars 4

Anyone out there used these - hoping to hear real experiences of clarity of vision, ease of use etc ??

Many thanks

There are 8 different models in the MARS range based on 2 different sensors (17 micron 384x288 and 17 micron 640x480) and 4 different lenses (19, 25, 50 and 75mm) - so you need to tell us which model you're interested in.
The MARS 4 thermal scopes have been on the go for several years now - and have been superseded by the MARS 5 and MARS 5 XD thermal scopes - which is why the MARS 4 scopes are being sold off at heavily discounted prices

Cheers

Using the Mars 4 4,5X 384 for 2,5 years now. Good for me as I fancy a rather high base magnification. Sort of point and shoot set up. For boar only with me. It is true the Mars 4 series now are discontinued and the Mars 5 series is the new ATN standard.
Have not had any issues at all but moving into non-warranty now (1/2 yr left), which always is a bit scary. Suppose scope will end up as a back-up next year.
Pros: stable and with very long battery life
Cons: rather heavy and would wish changing color modes would be more simple

Brilliant - thanks for taking the time to write this for me, appreciated

i use a 640 50mm lense with good results. It has its limits if you like to zoom and and becomes pixelated but i guess all digital scope suffer from this.
