Viper flex

I started off in B&Q garden cane sticks. They were decent, especially for the £15 or so quid they cost.

I then tried a mates viperflex and was blown away.

I tried to go a bit cheaper and bought some mjoelner, but having compared them to viperflex they felt much more flimsy.

I bit the bullet and bought the vipers and havnt regretted it since.

I've no direct experience with them, but the bushwear sticks are incredibly popular. I make 5th leg attachments for most major brands, and the bushwear outsell all other brands combined by a ratio of about 4:1. So they must be decent!

Cheers

Which model did you go for

Best on the market for me, I use the XL versions being 6' 4" no more stooping over short sticks! After having tried 2 other manufacturers.

They take some serious abuse, used them to drag reds out of some places when forgotten my rope (run them through each hock and pull!).

Pic attached to show the durability 😂 not mine but a pals

Have you ever had a request to make a 6th leg attachment 😂

Have found "4stablesticks" which are a cheaper brand to be more than adequate and very strong (use them through the hocks to suspend roe for gralloch)

Borrowed a mates VFs when I'd locked my own inside my truck with my keys (yes I know, my wife rescued me and that makes a change). Anyhow, used them opened up wide whilst lying down on the side of a hill to shoot a young Sika stag. Couldn't have done that with my Bushwear sticks and I now own VFs. Great set of sticks.

I can vouch for the durability after a friend drove over them in his L200. No damage 😅😅

Mine also bounced out the back of a mates converted Jimny and lived in a field full of cattle of 10 days before he stumbled upon them again... knew they were on thr estate somewhere 😂 we did have a lot of deer to recover the evening we lost them, but they survived 😅
