I found your forum while researching field performance on Hornady ELD-x vs SST in 6.5 cal. Found a post that did a excellent job describing the difference in the bullet construction. I joined because I enjoy reading hunting/shooting articles by people with different conditions and cultures. Everybody has a different perspective.
I don’t hunt a lot and usually its for Whitetail from a stand or ground still position. My local terrain is hilly/mountainous and heavy forrest, 150 yards is a long shot just due to visibility. I’ve been reloading for 30 years with a Dillon 550 and Rock Chucker but 4 years ago I got a Forster Co-ax and thats all I use now. My hunting rifles are CZ 452 in 22LR, Howa Mini in 6.5 Grendel, Tikka T3‘s in 6.5x55, 308, and 30-06. I have a sporterized M1896 I bought many years ago that started my love affair with the 6.5 Swede and bought the 30-06 in case I wind up in Alaska and need to lob 220 grain Partition’s at Grizzly bears.
Thanks for access to your Forum.
