Visitors firearms permit with no conditions attached. Question on shooting over permissions in addition to booked stalks.

Just to set the scene - I was resident in the UK but post Brexit made Austria my country of residence as up till then I spent half the year there and half working in the UK, my other half is also over there permanently. As I have a DSC1, am a member of the BASC and have a history of stalking in the UK while I am over here I applied for a permit via my usual stalker with the reasons given of multiple stalking bookings and range days. I got the requested 6 months visitors permit and looking into the law and guidence there appears to be no reason why I can't also seek out some shooting with friends and on permissions I have arranged myself. Any input on this interpretation as with no conditions stipulated on my permit they seem to have accepted that I am an experienced hunter?

Additional info - my usual stalker who I book with also carries out training exercises with the police force concerned and knows the firearms team. The called him in to discuss my application and he gave them his input as being a UK employee coming in from abroad my case was a little unusual.

I am also a non-resident in the UK, however, I spend quite a bit of time here due to work commitments, mostly on a relatively short notice (too short to apply for a Visitors Permit every time I am in the UK).
Fortunately enough I've got my Visitors Firearms Permit (and a seperate Visitors Shotgun Permit also for that matter), for 12 months, which is the maximum for for a Visitors Permit. When my sponsor applied for me, we made the case that it would be impractical to apply for every separate visit (I would be here between 12-20x a year), with supporting evidence of my visits, and also good reason for it just as on a FAC with supporting evidence again such as DSC 1, past guided stalks, BDS and my overseas gun club membership.

On my first visitors permit it was conditioned: "only for use on land where the sponsor is authorized to shoot", which my sponsor and I interpreted as it was only valid on permissions of my sponsor has. When we did the renewal, we tried to get that lifted so I could shoot from other permissions / with other stalkers also, we were informed by the police that it actually did mean that I would be able to shoot on other permissions or other stalkers, it was a bit ambiguous, so they were so kind to change the condition to "only for use on land the holder is authorized to shoot"

If in doubt, ask the issuing police force, just in case.

Thanks for the info. Talking to my sponsor he had informed the firearms team that I was looking to book other stalks and do a variety of range days and running boar training. I'd supplied contact details for my old UK firearms team to check my record and as I have the DSC1 and insurance via BASC they were happy to leave any conditions off. Hopefully I can do the same now each year.
