Vixen scopes

Out of curiosity, why dont i see more vixen scopes on here? My local gunshop is packed with them bug in general i dont see them used mutch. Personally i have only used 2 of them and both where quite nice for their price.

i used their 390 euro model for a while and while clearly lacking in low light and being very sensitive to eye positioning it wasnt bad for the price.


I currently have their 1-6x24 illuminated on my AK and it doubles decently as a low light scope (on 3x mag)

Is it lack of name recognition? or do their higher priced scopes just not hold up to the competition?

Many years ago I had one. I cannot recall the exact model but I think it was a 3-12 or a 4-16 with maybe a 44m objective lens.

I quite liked the glass quality but it was crap and wouldn't hold zero. Norman Clarke put it on a collimator and the reticle was moving around all over the place when the zoom was cranked. It went back to the retailer and I got a refund.

I don't recall seeing one advertised in the UK for a long time.
