I have seen Vortex binoculars on the website of a company called Sherwoods.
They are not very cheap, but are cheaper than the equivalent models from Zeiss, Leica and Swarovski. They look pretty robust and are aimed at the outdoor market.
I have searched a few threads on binoculars and the recurring advice seems to be save up and get a pair from one of the top makers. However, as a novice I am struggling to reconcile spending so much money.
Has anyone any experience of Vortex binoculars, good or bad or am I kidding myself that they'll be anywhere near as good as the Swarovski's that I've borrowed in the past.
Apologies if this theme has been done to bits.
Cheers,
Dovebob
