Vortex fury for a newcomer

As the title suggests, I'm in the market for a set of binos. In fact my first ever set. Coming into the world of stalking but not new to lens, photography etc so I have an idea of what all the numbers mean......but out in the field there's no substitute for life experiences which is where you come in hopefully!
I've been hanging my nose over the vortex fury 5000 range finders. All the reviews point to them standing up against the likes of swar and Leica. What's your experience if you have any on them please? I like the fact they have a very good warranty (lifetime) and they are just within my £1000 budget.
My question is realky, would you buy some and if so what mag/objective would you pluck for. Regards.

Having owned and used quite a bit of Vortex kit I'd say the top end stuff is good and for the average user all the best binoculars will be so closely matched that you'll never tell the difference other than how much cash is left in your pocket.

The warranty can't be beaten and on a product like range finding binos it's a massive peace of mind. Some of the other top makes (Swaro and Leica) do have very good customer service and usually things are fixed free of charge but it's more of a gentleman's agreement rather than in black and white and won't necessarily cover damage (and the important electronics) like the Vortex one does.

I have a set and love them. The only minor niggle is that the range button is very low profile and fiddly but that is easily resolved by glueing a small button or plastic pin head to the range button. it can now be easily found with gloved hands.

The warranty is simply the best in the business. lifetime transferable , any damage any cause (unless deliberate!).

as far as I am aware the Fury is only available as 10 x 42. 8x would be more idea for woodland stalking but i get on fine with them in that situation

Thanks for your input and reply, in your opinion if you had to buy some would you go for range finder 10/42 or just some vortex hd glass in a different mag/objective. I like the range finder as an option and if 10/42 is desirable for most applications whilst stalking I think I've found the binos for me. Regards.

As much as I love range finders, I found I prefer to carry a small separate unit, I use my glass a heck of a lot and the additional weight didn’t stack up for me So carry a very light and small Leica rf and binos.
probably look at rf binos again in the futire as it’s still an itch that may have to be scratched.
as for vortex, it’s always high on my list of glass to look at due to warranty and how good everyone says it is ( says he having just bought a swaro scope )

In my personal experience, for woodland stalking the range is just for my info - everything I'd shoot is 40m to 120m so no need to adjust anything. If you do more hill or open stalking it's likely to be a lot more helpful.

I've got the rangefinder Vortexes and to answee your question I'd 100% buy again.

Thanks for all that have responded. I'm going for them as I think for the money and warranty I can't go wrong. I understand that the most experienced among you would probably notice the clarity difference between these and say a el10/50 swar but for starting out I hope I won't go wrong and now you have all backed up the fact that they seem to be a good set it's made my mind up.
Many thanks and I'm sure there will be many more questions as I continue to learn. Regards.
