Anybody used the vortex ranger rangefinder binoculars?
If so what are your thoughts or any other recommendations similar price
Looked at the Steiner but they seem massive

I have used vortex fury range finding binoculars and was very impressed, if I hadn’t already bought swarovskis I would have had a pair of them, slightly heavy but that’s the only fault I could find and it’s not that bad

I have the Viper HD, unbelievable value for the price.

I’ve used the warranty for the glasspak case with no issues/quibbles whatsoever

I have a pair of furys, had to use their warranty once, sent me a brand new pair within 2 days. Can't fault them.

I've used several pairs and currently have some fury, very happy with them and of course the lifetime warranty is great if needed

I'm west yorkshire if you are close and want a look

I have a set of Fury’s, and my friend a set of Rangers - we spent an afternoon comparing the two back to back.

Very little difference glass wise. I thought my fury’s were slightly better but they were set to my eyes. My mate thought his rangers were slightly better but they were set to his eye.

Rangers had a slightly warmer/yellow image compared the fury’s which were more colder/blue. We were watching a walker at approx 1600m who was wearing a blue jacket - through my Fury’s they looked blue, through the rangers they looked more like a purple-blue.

I prefer the range finding reticle in the Rangers - very Swarovski-esq.

Rangers weren’t as comfortable to be behind - harder eye pieces compared to the fury’s which is a softer rubber.

Fury pinged out to 2375m, ranger got to 2100m.

For the money, the Rangers are fantastic - I’m currently looking at making some accessories to make them a touch more comfortable.

My mate dropped his 30ft down a scree run on the hill , expecting the worst he picked them up and they were absolutely fine , all the caps were on mind you

The Ranger works very well and the glass quality is equivalent in my eyes to the Fury 5000. They are a little bulky though (although not too heavy). Take a look at the GPO Rangeguide 10x40 - glass is at least as good as, if not better than the Ranger 3000, the laser just as good but they are more compact and a little lighter. Here the pricing is very similar - not sure about the UK.

I Have a pair Mark , glass is very clear on them & the range finder is so quick reading the distance,
The other consideration would be their warranty , not sure it can be bettered if I’m honest ,
