Weight of a hide

Hello,

Random question with lots of variables but does anyone know an average, or weight range, of a hide?

I'm guessing it will depend on which species and their stage in life (adult or young deer)

They average around 50" long and 25" wide down the middle. Each skin weighs approximately 2.5 lbs or 1.13 kg.

Hello,

Typical fresh weight of a moderate sized fallow hide is around 2kg, assuming it was tidily skinned with no meat or fat still adhering to it.
