Well’ what you been doing BRO’

Re routed the condensate pipe from my boiler, hoovered the reloading room floor(back bedroom).
Getting ready to go back to work tomorrow😬🙄

Today started cutting up a big oak tree that blew down in a gale a couple of years ago. Got to get it shifted to make way for phase 2 of my deer fencing.
Mouse carting logs back to yard, wife splitting (she gets some kind of grim satisfaction from wielding the axe) and eldest daughter building the stack.
A proper team effort.

Just boiling up the nettles to make the beer now, before heading out to milk the cow.
Fallow steaks for dinner tonight.
Life's good.

No call outs today, so back polishing me tubes

Today was spent messing about in the paddock again. The folks who lived here previously badly neglected it, but as they didn't have livestock I guess they had no need to maintain it. It's causing me no end of issues though!

I dropped a 30' birch earlier to use as fenceposts, then cleared out decades worth of crap that people had been piling up before setting up a new fenceline.

Some may say the old ways are the best. Not when it comes to using a post-hole spade, they ain't :-|

This was heavier than it looks! Not the ideal time of year to be dropping them, but I'm not looking for firewood in this case. Reminded me that I need to start tapping off the sap, too!

All for a good cause!

Spoke too soon about the nettles, too. Damn, early ones are spiteful buggers!

And I haven't got any beer. I really want a beer :worried::lol:

Painted all the garden fences x2 painted patio block wall. Took all glass out of greenhose washed and replaced. Mended and re glazed cold frame. Planted lots of veg seeds and planted shallots. Dug out propagators and planted small flower seeds. Tidy up in garden/log shed and painted it. Painted all the raised beds and raked out all gravel paths. Have a big planter to make next week, install fill and plant out.

Been pretty pleasant here so far. The horses are turned away as there will be no eventing for me this year, and I can’t see the point in risking injury to me or them for nothing.
I have cracked on getting the greenhouse ready for my annual tomato fest, also started to dig over the veg beds.
Other than that I have been cracking on with my pillar drill restoration. It’s coming on quite nicely, and I much prefer the new green to the old! Then I have a shipment of parts on the way for the F150.
