Feeding the birds this morning and just took five minutes to 'check zero' on some home loads.
I only had five rounds, and one of those had the bullet seated way too deep. I know right.
It was the first of the batch and I messed it up - what can you say?
The right and proper thing to do, is to 'pull' the bullet. I know this.
I set up the rifle and target.

I 'walk in' the rounds, left to right as you view the target, with the last round just above the POA. Six clicks to move the impact right, sees me happy with the 4th shot.

OK. Still got that round with the bullet too deep...
Take it home and 'do the right thing' or load it and send it?
There in something in my nature that demands I load and send it. Nothing to boast about, just an honest statement about my flawed character.
I load it directly into the chamber, and close the bolt. I take aim at the bottom left orange circle, and send it.

Happy enough, it went were I intended.
However.
The bolt is 'sticky' and when ejected, the cartridge head shows signs of pressure and the primer has been blown out.
Obvious signs of a pressure spike.

Perhaps I should have taken it home...
Is it just me, or would you have done the same?
